CONNEX FOUNDATION IMPACT CHARITY PROJECTS
Every year the Connex Foundation uses the talent and resources of multi-site facilities management professionals to support a non-profit organization in the maintenance and repair of their facility. Connex Foundation believes removing the facility maintenance and repair burden allows non-profits to effectively carry out their mission to support and impact their local community.

A Big Thanks to our Sponsors!
Lutheran Social Services of Nevada
35 years ago, a dedicated group of Lutheran church volunteers began serving meals and providing food and clothing to people in need out of some of the local churches. They started food and clothing closets and then began to grow and get organized. They became incorporated on December 20, 1996 and Lutheran Social Services was born. Since then LSSN has grown and served more and more people as it became a trusted grassroots organization known for its diverse services for individuals of many demographics, including: low-income, at-risk of homelessness, homeless, families with or without children, youth, veterans, people with disabilities, and senior citizens. In the last 25 years over a half a million individuals have been cared for by the agency. LSSN’s comprehensive social services include DigiMart, an online food pantry; mobile food distribution events called Open Air Markets; nutrition education classes and live cooking demonstrations; the Heart of the City Senior Meal Program and senior supportive services; mainstream benefits applications; and other safety net services.
Calling all volunteers! We will need at least 50 volunteers for this year’s on-site Mid Year Conference IMPACT Event where we will be putting together 24,000lbs of foods in collaboration with LSSNV. Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN) organization and program catered to seniors, veterans, and low income families in the Las Vegas area as part of a three prong IMPACT program.
Can’t make Mid Year? We are still in need of monetary donations and sponsors! As a sponsor for this year’s MYC, you will have the privilege of contributing to the three prong IMPACT project which includes: The LSSN food bags in September, Fill the Pantries in October, and a Holiday Toy drive in November.

2024 NASHVILLE CHARITY PROJECT
The Reason Why We Exist
Humphreys Street, a social enterprise of Harvest Hands CDC, was born out of a desire to raise up leaders within our neighborhood by creating jobs, providing mentorship opportunities, and teaching job skills that empower youth such as customer service, marketing, and craftsmanship.
100% of their profits are reinvested into programs and scholarships that support our students. When a local teen applies for and receives a job at Humphreys Street, they are trained in a highly skilled craft and are given the opportunity to earn money in a neighborhood where few positive economic opportunities exist. Humphreys Street employees have the opportunity to tour colleges, learn about trade school options, and spend time with career mentors. Additionally, students are provided with financial literacy training, checking and savings accounts, and opportunities to earn academic scholarships upon graduation.
